Storia
Introdotto sul mercato nell'aprile 1986,[4] il CN250 o Helix meccanicamente e telaisticamente deriva dal Honda CH 250, al quale i tecnici Honda hanno allungato il passo di 14 pollici (360 mm), posizionato un bagagliaio integrato nella parte posteriore e ha abbassato la sella. Il CN250 era completo di contachilometri parziale, indicatori di carburante e temperatura, vano portaoggetti e bagagliaio.
Ad alimentare lo scooter c'era un motore monocilindrico a quattro tempi raffreddato a liquido da 244 cm³ con distribuzione monoalbero in testa.[5]
Honda ha apportato pochissime modifiche all'Helix durante la sua carriera. I cerchi in alluminio hanno sostituito le ruote in acciaio all'inizio degli anni '90 e al motore sono stati aggiunti alcuni controlli delle emissioni.

Der CN 250 Helix (interne Bezeichnung MF 02) ist ein Großroller des japanischen Motorradherstellers Honda. In anderen Ländern trägt der Honda Helix mitunter andere Namen, so heißt er zum Beispiel in Frankreich Spazio und in Japan Fusion. In den Vereinigten Staaten wurde er zudem auch als Freedom und Sedona verkauft. Der Roller wird als CF250-Fashion in China (Lizenznachbau für Honda) heute noch gebaut. Der wassergekühlte Helixmotor war sehr beliebt und wegen seiner Zuverlässigkeit erwarb Piaggio & C. S.p.A. eine Lizenz und implementierte den Honda-Triebsatz in das vorhandene Fahrwerk des Hexagon. Er wurde dann als Piaggio "Hexagon GT250" erfolgreich vertrieben. Der CN250-Honda-Triebsatz des MF02 wird aber auch von einigen anderen Firmen als "Clone"[1][2] gebaut und in diversen Rollern, ATVs, Buggys und Karts verwendet. Typisch ist für ihn ist der stehende Zylinder, weswegen der Helix sein Staufach im Heck hat, nicht wie moderne Roller mit liegendem Zylinder unterm Fahrersitz.[en] Honda CN250
